Then I created a problem. I moved all MY C extra files/ folders to a different drive. " That c:bb wasn't obvious to me at the time." Yep it went.
Seeing my error sometime later, I recopied the bb folder to C drive. ALL 86 gigs!!!
Then the problems started. BB worked not at all.. Kept saying it needed to be re -activated. And also reconfigured??? But it wouldn't do anything when i pressed that button.
Then I got an idea - AN UPDATE! Yes, I installed an update I hadn't used yet, and most the problems seem corrected.
{ except these occasional warnings }
I think my original disk { drive? } is in storage in another state, so I really want to repair this install.
If you have a genuine purchased copy (and I'm sure this is the case), you may be able to download a fresh distribution and then reinstall and re-authorize. Contact PGM Support, they'll be able to give you the best advice.
Generally, you cannot just copy directories/files from one location to another without creating some legacy issues.
Don't blame BiaB for this, its installation is robust, and your created problems are more related to how Windows manages installed installations.
E.g., you originally installed BiaB is C:\BB\ using the Windows Installer program. You then manually moved BiaB to D:\MyFiles\BB\. Later you tell Windows to uninstall BiaB through the Control Panel Add/Remove programs. Windows cannot do this successfully, because the files it knew about are no longer there. Follow?
A fresh install will let Windows know where everything actually is, so files can be properly managed by the operating system.

KGU, you've answered our questions and I concur with VideoTrack: at this point, a reinstall with the assistance of the company would help. They can also help with the "not authorized" problem (you get three installs, but they can assist if you need more such as in this case when transferring between computers).
You answered what drive the files are copied to, but the reason for my question was to make sure you did NOT choose to put the new /BB folder in the /Program Files folder (either one, if using a 64-bit Windows). This is a known cause of problems with permissions.

That's a significant error, where the program is just trying to write a file in an area of windows that is public and acceptable to write to, but is denied access by Windows. That message isn't related to BB activation it's just a plain refusal of windows to allow a file to be written to that location. Every copy of BB writes to that folder every time the program is run.
BB doesn't need admin privileges to do this, and I haven't seen anyone else with that problem. I'd suspect it's some extra type of security that's been installed to your PC, like an over-vigilant virus checker or something.

In general you can just drag the **whole** BB folder to somewhere else on the same or a different drive and it works fine. But it sounds like you dragged part of it, that you refer to as "extra files and folders". You can separately drag the Realtracks folder or the Drums folder to a separate folder, and then tell BB where you dragged them to in the preferences Realtracks and preferences Real drums option in the program. But if you dragged other folders out of there it would be like removing various parts of a car.
It may help to look at the log file. You see that from help- show log file. Then look for error related messages and post them here. The newest messages are at the top of that file.

Hi,
I never uninstalled anything. I just moved the entire 86 gigs to another drive, without thinking.

Hi,
I will try to check that file. Is it available from the menu?
I thought I just moved the entire 86 gigs to another drive, without thinking. But it may have only transfered it in parts.
Then I copied it back to C root.
HOWEVER - THE C: users..... files seem to be where the problems are occurring, yes? That one, I'm not sure if it was copied in whole. Can that be recreated?
I just checked - the program IS again AUTHORIZED now.
I will monitor what errors I get now> The latest is it created a FAULTY mp4 export file.
