I'm having a problem which is a little off topic here, but hopefully someone from the Mac audio world will have solved a similar issue in the use of BIAB with an Intel Mac. I know that most of us face challenges getting computers to help make music.

Brief system description: Mac Pro (2009) running the latest OS X. USB keyboard, 2 external sound modules with a mixer, the output going to a Behringer UCA202 audio/USB converter. The only MIDI element in the system is an Edirol UM-1EX USB/MIDI converter to provide an input for one of the sound modules, a Ketron SD-2.

The system behaves as if the 202 is dead. With the Mac sound preference set to line output (for external speakers on the line out connector), the headphone monitor connection on the 202 has the correct content, but nothing goes to the speakers. (The result is the same if the 2nd sound module, a Roland SC-8820, is disconnected, and the mixer bypassed.) However, the 202 is not dead. Running the output of a turntable into it works properly and has been used to digitize many old LPs.

Running BIAB 2009 with the ports set properly produces proper audio only at the headphone monitor on the 202, except for any Real Tracks, which are already audio and play through the speakers. Setting the system output 'USB Audio Codec' results in nicely mixed Real Track and sound module audio at the 202 headphone port, but I haven't found any way to get the mixed audio into another application for recording, editing, etc.

Sorry for the length. I'd greatly appreciate any available insight.
