You don't say whether your using Asio driver or MME. Find this under Options/Audio settings/Audio driver type.
The better type is Asio on the whole, depending on your sound card/set up.

If its MME then the volume is controlled within Windows. Make sure the volume icon is showing in the notification area (bottom right) - google it, different according to operating system.

When this shows double click on it and click 'mixer' any playing sounds have their own channel.

If you are using Asio drivers tghen go to the mixer for your sound card and check it out there.

Within BIAB on the main screen are also two volume controls - these are under the mixer in the main gui. Make sure these are set up right.
