It's been some a few months since I've posted a song.

++ "Graduation Boogie" ++ is so named to celebrate my youngest daughter's high school graduation.

RealDrums: Motown Funky Triplets
Real Piano: #2363
Loop: Tamborine quarters 4 bars (one of the 1000 PG Music loops in 2015)

Bass and lead guitar are loops from FreeCountryLoops.com. Rhythm guitar is me!

RealBand used to create chord and tempo maps and tracks mentioned above. Effects and mix done in Music Creator 6.

Comments, pro and con welcome here or at SoundCloud.

Congratulations on her graduation!

And there's actually a drum track called Motown Funky Triplets? Cool!

The song sounded like it was fun to play.

Good tune. Nice effect of authentic 60's reverb dripping drum sound. Enjoyed this one.

Hi Jim,

Lot's of energy in this creation! I reckon the boogie feel is one of the best developments ever in the history of music. It's not possible to feel glum and gloomy after listening to songs in this genre.

I thoroughly enjoyed the listen. Thank you for composing it!

All the best,
Noel

P.S. Congratulations to your daughter on her milestone, too smile

Oh man, does that bring back memories! I graduated from
HS in '64 and this could've been played at one of our
"sock hops."

It oozes authenticity. Absolutely nails the feel. Rackin' my
old brain to think of the name of the sorta slinky dance
we would have done to this.

Great job on bringing all those sources together!

A fun listen, Jim.

It is always interesting how you go "outside the Box" for pieces of your productions. Having the drums panned to one side really captures the era, too...

Good mix.

Hi Jim,

Congrats to your daughter and you!
This instrumental is very well done. It has a nice groove.
They have some pretty cool loops at FreeCountryLoops.com(even the free ones).

David, Thanks for listening. Not only is there Motown Funky Triplets RealDrums, there are NINE variations. How cool is that?

nobilis, Yeah, LOTs of celebrating going on. The "interesting organ" is the #2363 electric clavicle (piano) RealTrack. What I used was a mixture of the busier, normal RealTracks and the less busy simple RealTracks.

c_fogle, appreciate both of your comments. How great is it to have my song featured on PG Music's Facebook page? I'm truely honored. Many of the 60's instrumentals had that dripping, popping reverb sound. Love it.

Noel, I think most people that play electric bass or electric guitar start off by learning to play boogie or blues. At its core it's easy-to-learn, fun-to-play and makes the player feel like a guitar hero. Heck, even I can play it! grin

Janice & Bud, Thanks for the "authenticity" and "nails the feel" comments. You have done so many songs I like. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Guenter, Thank for listening and sharing your thoughts. Your remixes inspire me.

Tommy, Appreciate the comment on the mix and for listening.

Alyn, help me out some ... is there actually a dance called the slinky dance or is that one that Bud is trying to pull on us? wink Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment.

floyd, thanks for the drum panning comment. To me, the panning and reverb was as much a part of the rock music from that era as the actual music was.

Dani, I'm glad you enjoyed the song as I had a blast making it.

Greg, Glad you enjoyed the tune and thanks for listening.

Rob & Anne-Marie, I appreciate your "well done" comment. I have been as pleased with FreeCountryLoops.com products as I am with PG Music products. Both companies seem to go above and beyond to provide their audience the best service in the industry.

Wild, man, wild! A surprise in every measure.

I didn't really key in on the drum panning, on my monitors, until I read Floyd's comment, but the drum reverb had me smiling from the get-go.

A very fun listen. Congratulations all around:)
