Just to get you going

1] Open a new file

2] right click on a bar open chord builder (or simply type in a chord) choose a chord

If the next bar is blank it simply playes the next chord

3] Put in as many chords as you like in the above manner

4] In the area of the main screen choose key tempo beginning and end bar, and finally number of choruses

5] Go to the style button choose a style

Hit play

One thing held me back and is not in any manual, if you want to select a single bar its often a question of selecting two bars and reversing the mouse back to one bar - fiddle.

The Blue or Green boxes on the chord sheet play two different variations of the same thing, the green one is generally more built up and busy - for choruses.

There are two types of tracks "Realtracks" and MIDI tracks. Real tracks are recordings of live musicians, whereas MIDI is samples. If you don't understand MIDI go to utube and get a gist. Generally more tweaking is possible with MIDI (you can see the score for example) but Realtracks have more authenticity, sound 'realer'

The PG videos are pretty good once you have a foothold and this is a VERY friendly forum
