Can't seem to find this - how do I get BIAB to NOT play song after rendering?

Hi Sam,
If I render with the top bar - DXI-Direct Render (save wave file) I do not get the song re-playing afterwards
Do you have the "loop" box checked on the main BIAB screen

Sorry, I wasn't clear.
I want to load a song WITHOUT it automatically generating and playing. I want it to load and wait until I click on play for it to generate.

When I was using a soft synth and rendered via DXI, the song didn't play while rendering. Now I'm using a Ketron SD2 and it plays while rendering. If I open an existing file, it doesn't play until I click the green play button. I have biab 2009. As Mac always says, try "return to factory settings"

At the bottom of the dialong where you chose your song it has a box that says play when chosen or something. It's a check box, I think on the bottom left of the song selector.

You're missing a fundamental point here. The SD2 is a hardware synth so you don't render it, you simply play your song and record it in real time just like the old days. Rendering only works with a DXi soft synth. Yet another trade off, most good hardware synths sound better than most software synths but a five minute song takes five minutes to record while you can render to audio using a DXi in about 20-30 seconds.

The closest thing I can find in BIAB to do what you want (sort of) is in Prefs and check the box to "Pause play until MIDI or Key received". It will hold the song even after you hit the Play button until you hit a key. Kind of a workaround but achieves what you want I think.
