We all know Matt as a regular contributor to the forum. But have you heard his music? I've been playing some of it on radio in Cape Town, and my listeners are enjoying it as much as I am...great playing, fabulous arrangements. Have a listen. I have Matt's CD and I love it.
What I am really waiting for is Tomas Martin Lopez's new CD, which Matt contributed considerably too.

There are plenty of great 'real' musicians here. Far more than anybody realises.

Wow, many thanks, guys. It's not even my birthday yet and you've given me the best presents! What a great surprise!
I really appreciate all your kind words, and of course Mike's playing the CD and starting this thread.
My publicist who tracks such things let me know my music was being heard on the radio in Capetown, and I told her why. The PG Music forum is truly a great online community. I only mentioned the CD here a few years ago and put it in my signature because I used BIAB to compose all the songs.
Gary, my eight new songs, also composed in BIAB, will appear soon on Tomas' new recording with three others by the great Latin jazz pianist Bill O'Connell, and on some different music-minus-one mixes I've been working on. I will let you know when these are out, and thanks for your interest.

Ditto to what everyone else said about Matt's renditions. He has a great in-depth feel for bossa.
Matt: Are you going to do any Music Minus One Bossa stuff for the trumpet/flugel? I would glady buy it.

Noooooooooooooooo,
Not playing gigs. Not good enough, don't want to embarrass myself. I can't tell you how many takes I have to do to get something good sounding. Plus, honestly, I haven't been playing in forever. I've been so busy with so much that I can't remember the last time I spent more than 20 minutes at the keyboard.
I was looking at some of Mike's other stuff, and I'm thinking I'm going to have to buy all four of his albums, they are really great.
