Don't know if this is your problem, but if you have a song that is NOT unfolded (one big song), but has repeats, you have to be very careful to make sure your lyrics are associated with the proper verse. Also, if you add any new bars in the middle of a song, your lyrics are going to start having gaps in them.

Have you tried opening the song, going into Staff Roll Notation Mode, selecting the melody track, then clicking the "#" button (to bring up the event list) and filtering on lyrics to see if your lyrics are still there? This view will show you the lyrics based on MIDI position.

I will often copy all my lyrics first into the Lyric Document window. That way I've got the whole thing that can then be used to copy/paste if necessary.

Also, have you tried the command, "Lyrics, Copy Lyrics to Clipboard": This function allows you to copy a song's lyrics (and/or the chords) to the Standard Windows Clipboard. By pasting this data into a word processor, you can print out the lyrics in the font of your choice. The dialog has options to allow copying of note-based and/or line-based lyrics.

Don't know if any of this will help you, but may give you some places to look and maybe find your missing lyrics.
