We’ve started a Video Testimonial project, and need your help… We’re seeking video testimonials from Band-in-a-Box users like YOU (the customer)! If you’re video is selected, we'll send you a Band-in-a-Box EverythingPAK! How to Enter:Create a video testimonial that explains who you are and the kind of music you create. Be sure to answer: - What style of music do you prefer?
- How do you use Band-in-a-Box?
Other information you can include: - How did you hear about the program?
- How long have you been using the program for?
- Do you use the Windows or the Mac version?
- What are you favorite features of Band-in-a-Box?
- Which Band-in-a-Box features do you use the most?
The video should be 2-10 minutes long. We’re looking for a variety of video styles. You could: - Star in the video on your own.
- Have someone interview you.
- Use a screenshot of Band-in-a-Box while you’re working with it.
- Use images and recordings of you performing with your Band-in-a-Box songs.
...Get creative!Submission Information and Rules: - One video testimonial per person.
- Your video should be submitted in MP4 format. If you are unable to create an MP4, we will also accept .mov and .wmv files.
- Any songs included in your video must be originals, and must not be copyrighted or "cover" songs; you must have all of the rights to the songs.
- The deadline for submitting your Video Testimonial is July 31, 2015 August 31, 2015.
To submit your video, email marketing@pgmusic.com with “Video Testimonial” in the subject line, making sure to include your name and contact information. If you require assistance in submitting your video, please let marketing@pgmusic.com know (or post right here in the forum). All videos will be reviewed, and the Submitters of winning videos will be contacted to confirm their contact information in order to receive their Band-in-a-Box EverythingPAK. Please note: All winning video submissions grant PG Music Inc. the license to use the video without any additional compensation in any manner, and, in any media for publicity, promotional and/or other purposes.We look forward to seeing your video testimonial! Hi Marketing, you should send a questioner to those who have purchased MacBB/WinBB/RB every now and then to get feedback for development. Not everyone who buys BB/RB comes to the forum or emails PG with feedback. I have never received an email from PG ever asking for product feedback. You could have a list or an an optional multiple choice checkbox questioner that is easy : - What style of music do you prefer?
- How do you use Band-in-a-Box/Realband?
- Do you use just Band-in-a-Box or just Realband or both?
- Do you use just Band-in-a-Box or with a DAW?
- Would you use a Plugin version of Band-in-a-Box in your DAW?
- How did you hear about the program?
- How long have you been using the program for?
- Do you use the Windows or the Mac version or both?
- What are you favorite features of Band-in-a-Box/Realband?
- Which Band-in-a-Box/Realband features do you use the most?

That's a great idea solidrock! It's something we've looked into in the past. As a purchaser of the product, do you think that having these types of questions in the order confirmation email would work, or would you prefer to see a follow-up email about 4-6 weeks after a purchase?

I think you would have to give them some time with it, as I said every now and then so you are getting regular feedback. First time purchases I think give them a few months with it. Those of us who purchase around the release date send it out to get feedback before you get started on the next version. It should be like a courtesy call "We value your opinion" "We listen" "We care" "How can we improve it". You can have a link that goes to a webpage with the feedback form. Try to include RealBand in there rather than "it's all about Band in a Box" It will be great to see a Mac version of RealBand DAW ! That's why I made www.realband.org to promote the DAW version of Band in a Box (that does not seem to get too much of a mention or promotion) so people use to using DAWs will find the transition a lot easier than straight into the learning curve of Band in a Box.

Here's a little addendum to that as well, if you're interested in sending us material for videos:
It can be pretty raw video, and we can edit it all up ourselves here.
A few things to keep in mind if you are interested in this:
1. If you're doing it in an "interview style", it's best to answer your questions with the question as PART of the answer. For example, if you're answering the question "What's your favorite feature in Band-in-a-Box", rather than launching into it saying something like "The guitar window, because...", for the purpose of the video it would be better to say "I think my favorite feature is the guitar window, because..."
2. Any audio you have is great. For example, if you were filming yourself recording a guitar solo into Band-in-a-Box, rather than just including the video file with the audio from that, it would be great to also include the actual recorded tracks and Band-in-a-Box files. That way we can sync them up and use the better recorded audio along with the video rather than using the audio recorded by the camera.
3. If you're able to shine a lamp or two directly at yourself when filming yourself talking, that makes for a much nicer looking resulting video.
That all being said, anything at all you send would be great, and we'd love to hear your stories and share them with the world!

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
