There are lower MIDI notes allowed on purpose. These are 'skip notes' that simulate the sound of a muted note that jazz bass players use when playing fast triplets. So that's what your seeing on the MIDI monitor. But actual notes lower than the low E won't occur, just these short ones on some jazz styles to make the midi sound more real.
None of the above applies to Realtracks, just MIDI.
