Everything works better on an SSD!

I have Band in a Box and all of my DAW files on one 1TB SSD. Check out the new Samsung 850 EVO SSD's, they have really come down in price.

I find loading large files like realtracks and large samples for sample players is really fast on an SSD. If you have the space on your SSD, try copying some of the large files over and see how fast they load and how well they play.

Once you get used to the speed of an SSD you will never go back.

As far as limited writing on an SSD, I wouldn't worry about it. Recent tests were done with the leading SSD's and they found that you can write over 750 TB's of data to it before the drives start to show any signs of wearing out. In fact, the Samsung 840 (the old model) went to 2 PetaBytes and was still running fine. The 850 is supposed to have even better writing capabilities.
