Years ago we had a little contest here naming the classic tunes the demo songs were based on. We came up with a good 30 or 40 names.

I don't know if those tunes were written by anybody. Biab has a pretty good melody maker function it might just be something the program came up with which means you're free to use it. Remember chord changes cannot be copywritten which is why so many demo songs sound familiar.

Have you tried using the melody maker? Or how about trying the soundtrack function? The soundtrack allows you to set many different elements of a song and the program creates the whole thing from the chords to the melody to the style used and it even names it for you. It's a great starting point for a writer. You can keep regenerating it until it comes up with something you like and you're free to use it any way you want. Keep it as is or keep most of it but make some changes.
