Hello,
I'm a pedal steel player and use BIAB every day... what I can't seem to figure out is how to get some simple scales played by a single instrument to practice with and help intonation etc.
Let me try to explain... the one I've built is just a Major scale.
It is played on the piano and the scale is just half notes straight up the scale and back down. I worked this out by doing a midi recording with my keyboard (the simple recording) and then went into the notation and moved the notes to where I wanted them.
Does anyone have tracks of just scales... doesnt need a backing... doesnt need to be a real instrument...could be midi.. or know where I can find a bunch of scales i can put in to tracks to practice?
Sorry.. sort of hard to explain... I just want to hit play and have the piano (or some instrument) playing a single note scale up and down... major, minor, dorian, harmonic minor, etc would all be GREAT. I COULD do it the way I did it with the first scale but it is laborious and tedious... I'm sure theres a better way or that maybe someone has already done it...

hmm.... i'll look into that...
thanks!
would like to find some track in BIAB since i know how easy it is to change keys, tempos etc... but i'm looking for anything at this point.

well I got successfully all the way to:
To use these, just right-click and select an option from the new
“Insert Chord”; “Insert Scale”; or “Insert Arpeggio” menus. The MIDI notes will be entered at the edit cursor.
Cant figure out where to "right click" and can't see the menu you have above thats for sure.... I DID see the scales and arpreggios had imported however....

yup.. in Midi editor I see them all... just have no idea how to get them into window and playing...

So once you right click on your root note and select Scale you will get the midi in your track that you need to add a midi synth to that track or go to File > Export Project Midi and just open in Realband. Here's some templates that might help. This is just a UserTrack Template in C after you make the midi in Reaper you can bring it back to Realband Drag it out as wav from the drop station then drag it back into Realband then save as an SGU and select the wav track as your Audio track and that will give you a UT in C, save the RB UT C as an SEQ, now delete the wav track and now you can Transpose the Key then do the same again saving it in the next key. You can set the Grid Notes to what you need at the bottom of the Midi Editor Piano Roll.
