Why are you so attached to Firefox? Switch to Chrome. I have had not one issue playing anything and no attacks. You will have a learning curve of about 45 seconds to learn Chrome if you have never used it before. The integration with maps, gmail, calendar, etc..... is amazing. Chrome is google spyware - IMHO...
