I'm fully aware that many popular artists sing about subjects or events that have never happened to them. A writer wrote a good song that they sing. I find it hard to write about things that didn't happen to me. Not because it would be difficult, but because I fear people may think that's me, or my story! Have any of you run into this? I get the "best songs are written about events that happen to you" mentality; but that's not what I'm talking about, to be clear up front. Thanks
