Wow! What great responses! The Johnny Cash thing made me laugh because I was one of the people that thought he did hard time, I think having heard that. I think his overall persona at the time helped with that! I don't write but I sing tunes which catch my attention. I have had my wife say to me "stop singing that tune, it makes me sound awful!" This is the kind of thing I am hoping to avoid! I feel like (as an example) I wrote a song about cheating, inspired by Blake and Miranda's sudden divorce but not naming them, people may think I'm saying MY wife is a cheater! That being said, I think I just need to get passed it. I don't want to limit myself that way. Thank you!
