BIAB gives you two tracks to use as you wish, and that won't get re-generated (as the other tracks do). These are the melody and soloist tracks. It really doesn't matter if you put your melody on the soloist track or the solo on the melody track, or vice versa. That being said, the built in melodist function will create melodies on the melody track and the soloist function will put a solo on the soloist track. But they are yours to edit as you please. When you play it back, no one will know what track it's on.

Generating a solo around the melody is possible, but it won't necessarily follow the melody, it will just use the space when the melody isn't playing. It really depends upon which melodist, soloist, or RealTrack you pick for the track. You just have to audition and figure out what sounds good to you.
