Expending the finite number of write cycles is not "going bad". That is just working it to expiration. I have doubts they would replace it under warranty if they do analysis and and see that it was written to expiration rather than actually failing.

I must have changed out 2 dozen SSDs or people who through heavy use ran through their write cycles. Now, I have been out of this for a long time. (2 years.) Has that 50,000 write cycle limit been increased?
