I've tried it several times Robert. Even as recently as the last song I mixed. I started the mix panning LCR with every intention of doing the song that way. In the end I went back to a more familiar stereo spread. It really depends on how you like the LCR sound on your song. Personally, I think LCR sounds better in mono - if you think your song is going to get a lot of mono play. (Of course check any mix in mono too.) Also many of the LCR mixers fudge and put percussion or something in the side holes. jmho ymmv
