Only one of two things going on here:
1) The BIAB song is doing exactly what it is set up to do. You need to post the song for us to see exactly what is going on.
or
2) You need to reboot you computer and return BIAB to factory settings. Then try again. If it still does this, then see number 1.
Thanks folks for helping out again! You guys are great.  It turns out there was a third thing going on. Because I don't use BIAB all that frequently, I forget little secrets I should remember.  I have two Windows on my hard drive. One, my day-to-day Windows with all of my regular programs and their accompanying drivers etc. Another is my Music-only Windows; only music programs, no extraneous drivers etc. I often load BIAB with my day-to-day Windows because I either forget to re-boot into my Music Windows or I'm too lazy to re-boot. Today I forgot to re-boot. Guess what? When I re-booted into my Music Windows the dropouts disappeared. BIAB did have a hiccup or two near the beginning, but by and large things are holding together now. I will start another post on a song-related request...
