I wouldn't usually pan anything at extremes, however, in the final mix (whether that's in BiaB, RB or my favorite DAW), I might create some separation with a moderate amount of panning. This is particularly true if I have say two guitar backing tracks in the mix - pan one a little left and the other a little right to get a nice stereo separation effect. Sometimes put a little reverb on one of the guitars too adds to the separation.
