We had a video on YouTube containing a backing track using Royalty Free Music that we had paid for and were fully licensed to use.

Immediately it was uploaded we received a "monetized claim" from a 3rd party we had not heard of. It even stated the exact position in the video clip that the challenge occurred. We registered an objection, stating where the royalty free came from and that were a fully paid-up license holder, and had the full rights to use the music.

We received an email stating that the objection was registered, and that the claimant had 7 days to respond. The very next day we got a message from YouTube stating that the claimant hadn't responded within 7 days and we were free to use the tune.

Go figure.

You can try to monetize, but it might be a paper tiger. Good luck though.
