There are others here who can give you better info, but new versions usually come out around Christmas/New Year. As for price, that's anybody's guess. I would advise waiting for the new version. The cool thing is that there are so many versions - you can just buy what you need and upgrade if you get into it. Trust me, this program is addictive, not just for writing, but for doing covers.
