It probably wants you to log into the Homegroup.

The original PC that was used to set up your home network will definetly have the password but I think PCs added later also have the password stored in a manner that you can access it also. Try this:

Open the Homegroup by clicking on the start button, clicking on the control panel and then type Homegroup in the search box. Then click on Homegroup

Click on View or Print Password

This should do it if it's stored on the Windows 10 computer. The process should be similar on the windows 7 PC. You don't remember assigning the password because windows did it when you first set up the network.

Edit: I just read your post again and see that your Mac is already part of the Homegroup so that probably isn't the problem.
