Nearly forty years ago, French polymath Jacques Attali wrote a book called "Noise" which predicted a "crisis of proliferation" for recorded music - in which its value would plummet. the programme if available in your country It is on the BBC site in the UK so if you can't listen to the programme. an articleAlso there is a pdf file of the actual book from 1976interesting reading apparently if you skip the forward and read the 1st chapter at least. hmm Alyn
