And to add to the confusion, the exclusions are based on the BIAB legacy track names (Bass, Piano, Drums, Guitar, and Strings), which may or may not correspond to the instruments displayed on your screen.

If you look at the radio buttons across the top of the screen, you will see the legacy order of:

Master, Bass, Piano, Drums, Guitar, Strings, Melody and Soloist. Master, Melody, and Soloist do NOT respond to the holds and shots command.

So even if the Bass track shows a Viola playing, you would still enter:

C...b to hold everything except the Viola (bass track).

Clear as mud?

We're hoping this confusion will be cleared up in the next version of BIAB. It is a holdover from the way tracks used to be named, and the new way which displays the instrument name instead of the track name.
