BIAB will first create a wav file and the mp3 is then created from that. The fact that BIAB is not following through with the mp3 suggests that you might not have the mp3 codec installed on your system. I obtained the codec by installing the K-Lite codecs found at the below link. They are free to use.

If you're not familiar with installing freeware, and the potential for other unwanted programs to be installed in the process, I suggest that you avoid installing these.

As an alternative, I encourage you to consider using wma format for compression rather than mp3. Personally, I prefer wma... I work on the principle that it's the format that PG Music use for their Realtracks. The size of wma compressed files is the same as mp3... wma is also the native Windows format.

BIAB will save to wma. It will create a wav first and then create the wma file from that.
