I have made many styles from midi successfully, but also some very unsuccessfully. There seems to be a problem with how biab interpret the song.. I tried today to make a piano song from a Grieg midi, but it made the style only from one of the track.. I can see in real band that the song has two tracks, but when I load it to make a style in biab, it is only one track.. The songs play right, but when made to a style, only left or right hand will be generated, and it does not sounds like the original at all.. when I solo the melody track, it plays both tracks there and sound correct there, but when I solo the piano track generated, it is obviously only one track that generate the style.... This happens with many attempt to make a style, but not always... I love this feature, but would love to figure out how to make it work all the time.... So all tip and tricks are more then welcome...

Hi Trygve,
I suspect that it's not so much BIAB's fault but the limitations of the midi file that you are using that creates poorly generated styles.
I've found that with anything midi that is obtained from around the net, one is at the mercy of how adept the person who created the midi was.

Were both tracks on the same MIDI channel? That might be confusing it.

Also if it is a MIDI 1 file try converting it to a MIDI 0 file.

Yes, I also suspected it might just be the midi-track it self that are poorly made... It's not midi that I paid for, so it is obviously not a super-quality... I will try ur tip today MarioD with some other songs and see if it helps... Thank u guys, for responding to my post... Anyone successfully created a good Grieg piano style and willing to share? ... Anyone successfully created a good Grieg piano style and willing to share? Is there any group where users share styles? There's a PGMusic forum here for discussions about UserTracks, Styles, etc. Not sure if this is useful or not.
