Melodyne Editor is polyphonic.
I have never used ME to attempt to convert audio into midi so I can not vouch for it's accuracy in that realm. My suspicion is that there is still a lot of work to be done coding the software to do that accurately. I have used it to convert audio, both monophonic and polyphonic, to MIDI and it is the best converted that I have every encountered. A few times I had to make no corrections while others there were only a few notes that had to be changed. I have converted guitar, bass and a couple of RTs with great success. Melodyne Editor doesn't read pitch bends and has trouble with hammer ons and pull offs. It will read the hammer on and pull offs but they may not be legato. It reads guitar chords very well. Of course your millage my vary depending on your initial audio. Ps - for get trying to copy a CD to MIDI. It ain't gonna work!
