Hi, Ovation -

Didn't realize there was no data. But to answer your first question: no, not the volume slider. There is a knob on the mixer for MIDI tracks labeled EXP. Sometimes, when bringing MIDI in, this knob stays at zero. You need to turn the knob all the way up to get MIDI volume, otherwise it will be silent. This often even trips up long time users.

For your strings track, how did you import it into RealBand? What I generally do is just save the file in BIAB (as an SGU or MGU, depending upon whether there is any data in the melody and/or soloist tracks), and then just open the BIAB file in RealBand. If you are using VSTi instruments, you will have to reassign those, but all the data should be there.

And are you sure there is no data? Sometimes, strings in BIAB styles only come in on the "B" section. You might need to scroll further along to the right to make sure there are no notes on the track.
