During FAWM 2015, I was a assigned a picture and had to write a song based on that picture. Here's the pic:

For the banjo part I used Tony Trishka's "
Shortenin' Bread" lesson from his banjo CD lessons (ha, ha). Mixing-wise this was one that I had trouble getting to sound good in mono. I think I improved it, but it is one of the weaker mixes. I think the banjo and ukulele occupied a lot of the same sonic space (eq-wise). Now, of course, it would have been a lot better if I had let BIAB play the banjo, mandolin and guitar parts -- but I like doing some of the things myself (even if it is not nearly as good)!
I am also testing out the links to bandcamp -- don't worry, it is always free to just play.
I'm a Big Bear @ bandcamp (free to play)
(c) Emmrich 2015 I'm a big bear going on a journey
I’m a big bear crossing rivers and rocks
never know what the day will bring
but always like watching them hawks
I wonder what it would be like to fly
I always liked to climb up so high
never let go except once as a cub
mama bear thought I was gonna die!
deep in the woods
or by the river
I am the king
of my domain
but I know
my limits
I still get wet
when it rains
I’m a big bear, yeah
but the world’s still bigger than me
