Yeah, that guitar sets better in the mix. Still has a nice level that lets you know it's a GUITAR SONG.....


One thing I would have done.... if it were me, and that would have been to flesh out the mix a bit more. The simple addition of a B3 organ would have given the overall song/mix a fuller sound. Another option would have been a rhythm guitar in the back ground. B3's just work really well with the blues.

However, the starkness of the trio also lends itself well to the blues. Relying on a trio is not without merit. The only thing with the trio is that the drums and bass must fill better to make up for the lack of the missing 4th rhythm instrument. A slightly busier drum/bass rhythm section would compensate nicely for this.
