What version of BiaB?
You are ensuring that you are looking at the Bass notation part, and not inadvertently at a different instrument?
Can you advise the Style you have selected for the song?
Is it a RealTrack or MIDI track?
Sorry for so many questions, but there are many variables. This will help to diagnose.
