I have a lot of BB tunes from Allanah's website but there is not much country there. I have a friend who plays country music and want to find BB tunes in that tradition.

Corliss:

Could you give us some examples of what kind of "country" tunes you're looking for?
There's quite a range between (say) Bob Wills and Garth Brooks <grin>

worst case: go to the tab sites and get the tabs for the tunes you want & create your own arrangement from the many country styles available

you can also start with midi files then tweak them in biab and save as a biab song (.sgu or .mgu file extension). allanah's site has many country tunes or visit www.vanbasco.com and search by title and/or artist.

have fun.

don

a native-born minnesotan. grew up with bob dylan in/around hibbing in the late 50s.

ps, if you are looking for a specific midi song, please let me know. a forum member, bob leaman, sent me a disk full of 35,000 midi files. i'd be happy to email it to you from my collection.

I wish I was 18 again - not found.

Ring of fire - vanbasco has it.

ps, you will find both good and bad midi files so audition these in biab with vsc-3 for better sounds. typically the larger files are better.

Corliss,
Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you about 150 already made BIAB country tunes. I've been a country player for 45 years. Bass.

I've gotten a bunch of requests for the tunes. I realize the file is rather large & I only have dial up. I'm willing to send it once. Anyone want to post them on there site so others can have them?

Hi Silvertones

You can send the files to me and I can put it on box.net or something. If you can zip them that would be ideal. That would also allow you to send them easier instead of one at a time.

Let me know

I would definitely be at the front of line to download them if you can get them posted.

Thanks,

Toucher,
Any chance you could change the file name of the zip on box.net to Silvertones country? Mr. Corlis may not want credit.

John.......

I'll see what I can do on Box.Net. I wasn't sure of the arrangement between you and Corlis, so I left the name on the zip file the way I received it.

This forum never fails to amaze me. In spite of my username, I do basically everything from big band to full blown country gigs and this collection is awesome, and you included a separate directory with all the lyrics as word doc's too! Those lyrics are very useful to me. You guys are too much, thanks for sharing this.

Bob

Hey Rob you did it! Thanks.
These were all of my base files for the tunes. I've now imported all of them into RB and totally redone. The only thing I kept was the piano and Real Drums. You'll notice that all of the instruments have been locked in but that can be redone. My goal was Bass ( me ), drums, acoustic guitars. These were for live playing.
Enjoy!
