I will tell you a little bit about how I went about making the video.
I am going to be doing a Periscope (anybody heard of it?) on this, probably later today and will probably post that on Youtube so I will keep you posted.
First I make a very basic backing track using BIAB (wonderful product this). Then I make a "karaoke" type scrolling lyrics thingy with the chords typed in (so I don't waste time s****ing up the chords and lyrics). I use a program called Karaoke CD+G Creator from Power Karaoke.
I set up a little HD camcorder on a tripod directly behind the screen of my laptop and plug in my Samsun Meteor USB mic into the laptop. For this video I was wearing one Shure over the ear headphone but it was not ideal because the b*****sted cable wasn't really long enough. I record the vocals and guitar using Realband on my laptop. Realband can display CDG files, which is great. I simultaneously press record on the camcorder.
Then I mix the song in Realband. Playing the guitar at the same time presents a bit of a problem because I don't want to hear that rather horrid sounding guitar in the mix but rather use a real track so I tried to edit and EQ it out as much as I could.
I then import the final mixed wav file and raw video footage into my video editing program which is NCH Videopad. I then line up the vocals from the mixed track with the vocals on the video. Mute the video audio track and walha! There you have it.
Your video turned out really cool. Looking forward to hearing more like this from you.
I downloaded the free versions of the video editor program and the karaoke lyrics program you listed and will try to take some time to play with them. I recently purchased a drone camera and have been taking a lot of aerial video and photos and I've been thinking of ways to incorporate them into music videos.
That sounds very interesting Charlie. I would love to see some of your aerial photographs and video. Maybe it is an idea to put together some instrumental tracks to use as a back drop and upload them to Youtube?

Josie, I've downloaded both programs you mentioned but haven't installed either one yet. Will do that soon.
My drone is the bomb. First, because my wife fears I'll do something stupid - like peep into a window or chase an airplane thus ending up on the evening news... So far, I've been good... so far.
I consider myself somewhat an advanced amateur photographer and enjoy both aerial photography and super high resolution photos. The hi res photo files usually are greater than a gigabyte in size! You can find interesting examples online at gigapan.com
I have been busy scampering about my community with the drone taking aerial photos and videos of local landmarks such as churches, historical homes, cemetaries and such. I also used it at the church I attend during a festival event.
Especially at public buildings, I'm careful to get permission so not to disturb the local law enforcement - or have them disturb me.
Though I use it as a toy, it's not one. It has a high resolution HD camera, GPS positioning, Wifi, Gyro camera gimbal and digital stabilization. It takes photos and HD video including slow motion. Video is awesome!
If you, or any forum member have need for some type of stock video you think I can provide, let me know and we'll try to get it for you. Files can be transferred by Drop box.
Charlie. I use a site called video blocks for stock footage and pay for a years subscription so I can use any of their stuff. Maybe you should look at how to submit your stuff there? But will definately file that away for future use. Another idea might be to join Google groups devoted to drone photography. You could find some like minded people and do some videos using biab as a backing.
JosieC - this is great! I can honestly say that I prefer it to Adele's version!
Thank you for sharing!
I've posted my kudos elsewhere but I wanted to echo Callie's thoughts.
+1
It's rumored that Professor Pat Pattison is offering a free course entitled: How To Critique An Artist With Much More Talent Than Yourself (Without Gutting Them And Letting Them Bleed). It's called Tact 101
Periscope, yes in fact a friend of mine on SJ did a dual broadcast last week where he invited everyone who joined in on Periscope to move on to SJ for better quality, and ability to tip as well.

Hi Danny. Thanks. I also did a dual broadcast on Sunday to Periscope. It was quite difficult to keep track of two conversations at once BUT I had about 280 people view my Periscope and I know at least one person came across to Streetjelly. I need to email Frankie because Annie told me that there is rule on Streetjelly about doing dual broadcasts. Personally I think Periscope is the next big thing for live video streaming. Not just for music. No haven't tried Concert Window yet (This Periscope is keeping me busy ha ha)
