As I understand it, some RealTracks are as exact as MIDI can be, because they were recorded as MIDI when played. This includes piano as mentioned in a link in that other thread. Other RealTracks have MIDI notation but it was transcribed after the fact. For example, doing a slide on a guitar string, or lipping a note up to pitch on a sax, are pretty difficult to simulate in MIDI: I've done it. And yet other RealTracks have no accompanying notation.
