Yeah, and for the 1st time in ages the Macintosh and PC versions are in sync so either group can upgrade, including all 5 of the Mac users.

Ive been waiting for this and it doesn't look like I'll be disappointed. It looks like there's a good variety of new RealTracks.
One question. What's the best upgrade path for BiaB 2009 UltraPak owners? Usually there's a really good upgrade price for a .5 upgrade but all I see listed is a 2008 upgrade at $279. Although I know it'll be worth the money it seems a bit more expensive than usual.

Yes, there are 101 new RealTracks, in sets 40 to 66. They are grouped in 3 genres. That's about 60% more RealTracks than were previously avaiable, bringing the total # of RealTracks available to 271 (not including variations). Rock, ------- Sets 40 to 49, ------- Rock 2 RealPak $59 --- (39 new RealTracks, and new RealDrums) Jazz, -------Sets 50 to 59, ------- Jazz 2 RealPak $59 --- (29 new RealTracks, and new RealDrums) Country -------Sets 60 to 66, ------- Country 2 RealPak $59 --- (33 new RealTracks, and new RealDrums) In addition, there are lots of new RealDrums sets, that are added to each of the Rock/Jazz/Country sets above. About 30% more RealDrums than were released previously They all include Band-in-a-Box 2009.5 (upgrade from 2009). We've made video demos of all of the new RealTracks sets. Hi all, Well I have been looking at the upgrade prices at http://www.pgmusic.com/bandbox.htmAnd my personal opinion is its quite expensive (unless you have been one of the regular upgraders year on year or bi annually, if I am reading the upgrade prices correctly and I think I am) For example to upgrade from band in a box 2008 or earlier (and to avail of all the realtracks 1-66) you'll have to fork out $379 +. Of course if you are a regular upgrader it will only cost $99. I won't be upgrading this time, maybe waiting to see if there is a better deal over the Christmas period. Kind regards Musiclover

There aren't too many software packages I keep up-to-date with, not even Sonar (my primary DAW). But, with BIAB it's totally worth it as you can see in the upgrade price differences once you skipped a version or two.
I can see your agony over this. Bottom line: if you like a product it almost pays for itself to keep up with the upgrades.

I always buy the "everything" upgrade (ultra, mega, whatever it takes) this time is no different BUT does anyone know how large the TOTAL download is for the summer plus pak (all the new real tracks and real drums) ?
All the USB hard drive options SEEM to be for the FULL everything (all of 2009 plus all the RT and RD’s) – doesn’t appear to be a “summer plus pak ONLY” on a 40-80 GB USB drive unless I missed it?
I only have 1.5 mpbs DSL and that isn’t going to change so it takes a long time (and usually have a few files with errors and have to re-download) so I like the HD option but not at over $300 to buy stuff I already own.
Thanks if anyone knows

We have the SummerPak available for $99 on DVD, or $149 on an included 160GB hard drive.
To get the summerPak on HD ($149), you need to already have 2009 UltraPAK (DVD or Hard drive).
The HD that you get is plug n' play, no installation or moving of files to do.
That option isn't available online yet, so you'd need to phone PG Music sales to order it 800-268-6272
The option should be online as of tomorrow.

Great I'd rather get this much "data" (files) on HD and not DVD and I already have the 2009 Ultrapak on a 80 GB HD (but I run everything off internal 1TB internal D drive).
Now I know why I didn't see the option you describe. I'll order online tomorrow (so I can paypal it)
