Hallo Forum
muß mich jetzt entscheiden wie ich in Zukunft Musik machen werde und BiaB scheint EINE Möglichkeit zu sein. Natürlich in einer der höheren Ausbaustufen um auch Audioaufnahmen von Vocals und echten Instrumenten machen zu können. Was mir gefällt ist die relativ schnelle Erstellung von den Basis Tracks wie hauptsächlich drums und bass, evtl. auch e bisserl mehr (loops von versch. Instrumenten/ klassische Orchesterpatteerns usw.) Ich habe etwas Erfahrung mit Cubase und möchte von meiner Hardware Workstation Tyros3 weg kommen (verkaufen) Entscheidend ist , ob BiaB genug für SCHLAGER und VOLKSMUSIK zu bieten hat. Da hat der Tyros halt extrem viel zu bieten, auch mit zusätzlichem Alpenpack!
Noch ´ne Frage wie umfangreich denn eine Demoversion von BiaB wäre? Styles/ Sounds etc.?

herzlich willkommen im Forum.
Im Bereich Schlager und Volksmusik ist Band-in-a-Box derzeit etwas dünn, aber ich weiß, dass da was in der Mache ist. Hier im deutschsprachigen Forum hat Tobin von PGMusic nach Musikbeispielen gefragt.
Im Dezember wird, wenn sich PGMusic nach vielen Jahren nicht noch was Neues überlegt, die nächste Version herauskommen. Kauf sie Dir, nimm Dir Urlaub, verkriech Dich an Deinen PC, teste ausgiebig und wenn es Dir nicht gefällt, kannst Du sie innerhalb von 30 Tagen zurückgeben und den Kaufpreis zurückerhalten.
Wenn Du weiterhin (auch) mit Midi arbeitest, solltest Du Dein Tyros behalten, der Sound ist gut und unabhängig von neuen Betriebssystemen -- vor allem: Du hast das schon. Gute Softsynths sind teuer und der mitgelieferte Midisound vom Rechner taugt wirklich nix.
Als Version empfehle ich auf den Inhalt bezogen das EverythingPAK oder UltraPlusPAK. Wenn Du meinst, Du brauchst das, die Audiophile Edition hat natürlich die beste Tonqualität, da die Dateien unkomprimiert im Original vorliegen. Auch die Audiophile Edition hat den vollen Funktionsumfang.

Hallo,
für Schlager und Volksmusik ist BiaB zurzeit völlig ungeeignet. Der Schwerpunkt liegt bisher auf Country, Jazz , Soul etc. event. Folklore. Dass sich da etwas grundlegend ändert, halte ich für unwahrscheinlich, weil die Hersteller eben vom amerikanischen Geschmack ausgehen. Audioaufnahmen mit BiaB sind nicht empfehlenswert. Dafür sind die Möglichkeiten viel zu eingeschränkt. Wenn man das möchte, sollte man BiaB nehmen, um die Begleit-Tracks zu erstellen und dann in einer Sequencersoftware wie Cubase, Logic etc. weiterarbeiten. D.h. so ein Programm braucht man zusätzlich. Es gibt aber auch recht preisgünstige Programme wie Reaper, die das gut machen.
BiaB ist generell aber kein leicht zu verstehendes und gut zu handhabendes Programm. Es ist sehr unübersichtlich und für einen Anfänger absolut verwirrend und kompliziert aufgebaut. Das liegt auch daran, dass es ein Programm ist, das vor über 20 Jahren entwickelt wurde und seitdem nicht mehr grundlegend überarbeitet wurde. Das merkt man an allen Enden und Ecken.
Wenn man ernsthaft damit arbeiten will, braucht man einige Monate, um sich einzuarbeiten. Dennoch ist es im Prinzip auf dem Markt konkurrenzlos, weil es nichts Vergleichbares in der Qualtät gibt.

Danke euch beiden,
ja, das hatte ich mir schon gedacht. Alles was ich bisher an Videos und Aufbau des Progs gesehen habe, deutete darauf hin. Internationale Sachen, da das Prog für den "Weltmarkt" entwickelt wurde, sind sehr gut - z.b. cooler jazz usw.
Ich dachte halt, vielleicht hab´ ich was übersehen!
Naja, und "kompliziert" brauch´ ich überhaupt nicht. Dachte halt auch das ich mit realband, nachdem die basistracks erstellt wurden, weiterarbeiten kann, aber alles in allem : nicht der richtige Pfad FÜR MICH.

BIAB ist nicht "kompliziert". BIAB ist umfangreich und lässt viele Möglichkeiten offen. Mancher mag das als kompliziert ansehen, vielleicht weil...
Aber: 1. Tonart auswählen, 2. Akkorde eingeben, 3. Musikstil auswählen 4. auf "(Generate und) Play" drücken ist nicht kompliziert.
Wie gesagt, PGMusic gibt eine 30-Tage-Geld-zurück-Garantie. Was das mit dem Schlager betrifft: PGMusic arbeitet an RealTracks für deutschen Schlager und volkstümliche Musik.

Nicht kompliziert? Na, das kommt darauf an, was man damit vorhat. Schnell mal eben ein paar Akkorde eingeben, passenden Style wählen und fertig. Das ist natürlich nicht kompliziert. Aber sobald man etwas im Detail bearbeiten oder verbessern möchte, wird es sofort kompliziert . Das ist es, was ich meinte.
Ich möchte damit nicht sagen, dass das Programm nichts taugt. Im Gegenteil: man kann damit super Musik machen, aber an der Bedienbarkeit kann man schier verzweifeln. So geht es mir jedenfalls, und zwar immer noch nach einigen Monaten intensiver Beschäftigung damit.

das kenn´ ich aber irgendwoher  so geht´s mir teilweise mit dem Tyros. Aber gut - zur Zeit macht´s keinen Sinn für mich Zeit zu investieren. Aber wenn es realtracks für schlager und volksmusik gibt, DAS wäre der richtig Zeitpunkt mal zu schauen 1. wie gut und 2. wie umfangreich das dann ist. Wie und Wann (in etwa) kann man denn darüber informiert werden? Großartig jedenfalls, wie Ihr Euch kümmert . .

Schau einfach mal in der ersten Dezemberwoche rein. Wenn PGMusic bei der bisherigen Praxis bleibt, kommt Ende November/Anfang Dezember die neue Version für PC heraus.
Bei PGMusic hat es Tradition, dass vor der Veröffentlichung der neuen Version keine Informationen über den Inhalt veröffentlicht werden.
Wenn Du Dich dann dafür interessierst, dann warte mit dem Kauf bis nach Weihnachten. Erfahrungsgemäß gibt es noch den einen oder anderen kleinen Fehler, die nach Weihnachten aber alle behoben sind. Ich mache meine Updates jeweils in der letzten Woche des Jahres.

Wenn damit Schlager gemeint sind, ist BiaB bereits jetzt bestens ausgerüstet. Falls damit etwa Bayerische Blas- und Biergartenmusik gemeint ist, wird - wie bereits erwähnt - offenbar an einer entsprechenden Erweiterung für die kommende Version gearbeitet.

Jeder darf seine Meinung haben , sie hier äußern und keiner hat das Recht, eine andere Meinung als Unsinn zu bezeichnen, auch wenn er anderer Meinung ist. Meine Meinung ist, dass BiaB praktisch für Schlager und Volksmusik kaum geeignet ist, weil so die üblichen Styles dazu fehlen. Die Erweiterung für Blasmusik wird meines Wissens nicht von PGMusic erstellt, sondern von Usern, so dass es kaum ein umfangreiches Angebot geben wird.

Guido Guidos Aussage etwa klingt hier wesentlich authentischer. -> Schlager gilt als Teilbereich von Popmusik. BiaB verfügt über eine Reihe von Popstyles, die beispielsweise Helene Fischer oder Nena sehr gut begleiten könnten. Hierfür ist natürlich mehr als die Basisversion erforderlich. Wie bereits erwähnt hat Tobin von PG Music -> hier im deutschen Forum angekündigt, dass PG Music an RealTracks für Alpenmusik arbeitet.

Die Erweiterung für Blasmusik wird meines Wissens nicht von PGMusic erstellt, sondern von Usern, so dass es kaum ein umfangreiches Angebot geben wird. "There are also wonderful new folk and world styles, including "Oberkrainer", a very distinctive and very recognizable sound from the regions around the Alps, featuring horns, accordion and guitar."

Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums!
