BIAB for Mac is indeed limited when compared, version for version, with BIAB for Windows. This is known, and not something for which to apologize.

If you are just starting to play guitar, I recommend lessons with an instructor, at least for a while. They will help you form good habits and avoid poor technique, which will pay off immensely in the long run.

No matter what your skill level, BIAB is available full time to accompany you. As a novice it will help you develop timing and a musical ear. With more experience it can help learn advanced techniques, including composition, improvisation, and even serve as an accompanist for live performance.

I began to seriously use BIAB in 2005, after playing guitar for 40 years. I made more progress on electric guitar in six months than I ever had previously. It is really that good.
