Hi,

If you send files to a daw, how to you keep the measures { chord changes } ?

I see them in BIAB, but not inside the target daw.

If you are dragging RealTracks then these are Audio files. The DAW doesn't know about chords that BiaB needs to know to create the msuic in the first place. Presumably you are using Drag-and-Drop (DAW Mode).

You may have to set your DAW to the same Tempo as BiaB was using?

Check out Drag-and-Drop in the online Help

I normally use AUDIO EXPORT of the particular track I want to use in the DAW.

They are all audio and I use the export function.

I set the DAW tempo to match the tempo it was created using in BB. Everything lines up perfectly every time.

As regards house keeping. I create a new folder with the song title and save ALL the files from BB & RB as well as Sonar in it. That way, everything is in one place. Original files, tracks, finished project and final wave. Archiving is a simple drag and drop into the storage drive when I'm moving on to the next project. And easy to find in the future.

In Reaper I insert markers for the start of the intros, verses, chorus etc. As long as you set the tempo map in your DAW your golden. I do a lot of track editing in the DAW instead of using Realbands multiriff function. I sometimes find it useful to drop markers at the chord changes and rename the marker with the chord name. This does take some time up front but can save a lot time later on. You could layout an entire chord chart in markers if you wanted to. It does tend to get pretty cluttered in the track pane though.

Again I am not trying to hi-jack another person’s topic but this seems to be related to me…

I can drag and drop the individual tracks one at a time from BB into my DAW (Samplitude Music Studio 2014 & 2016) without much issue, however I want to be able to drag and drop all the files in one shot as that is what I tend to do anyways, is bring them all in. I have followed the instructions provided in the manual and online but it doesn’t seem to work. It seems they don't get copied at all..or the only some of them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tony, did those instructions include dragging the Master track button? And then waiting while each track is generated and copied?

For this to work correctly, the DAW Options must be set (the second choice when you click on the DAW button). At the very least, make sure the checkbox is on for "Drag Master Track as Audio", and "Drag Master as Separate Tracks", and you will probably want "WAV" in the pulldown underneath.

Then there is the issue that some DAWs do the drag 'n drop differently. Evidently it is possible to do it in Samplitude since you get some tracks to work. But do you know the answer whether the tracks must remain in the /BB/DragDrop folder? There is a setting to delete this each time BIAB starts up. Now, in my case, SONAR, I do not need to keep those BIAB 'holding' tracks, since SONAR stores them in the Cakewalk Priojects folder. But perhaps you are deleting needed holding files each time you start BIAB?

Ahhh yes Matt, that is correct...

The issue I forgot, even myself, was that I have a new PC and a new install of BIAB...so these settings were likely not done in this install yet...DOH!!!

Thanks bud...
