Probably THE most standard progressions (in Jazz anyway) are the blues (but they get ii-V-I) in more modern (Bebop) versions via turnarounds. Also in Jazz, the second most popular progression is "I Got Rhythm)- plenty of ii-V-Is. Aside from those, many of the "Standards" were Show Tunes from the 30s and 40s back when composers wrote more complex songs. Most of them had plenty of ii-V-Is to practice on.
