My mate Rolf drew this cartoon and lost it on the internet many years ago and this song is based on that cartoon.  It is also my first attempt at a video using Crazy Talk Animator 2 and during the long frustrating process I gained an amazing amount of respect for Pat (Marr) and his cartoon for Eddie. In Peace Well I've been sitting here dreaming about Christmas and wondering if it's too late to be good 'cos no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to comply with all that's written in all those good books 'cos I like to drink I like to smoke and I definitely like to drive fast I like to burn the candle at both ends, and the middle seems Santa on his sleigh always gets lost around my way 'cos I ever never see my fat friend he sits upon my chimney pot, newspaper in his hand a cup of coffee resting by his feet humming to himself Merry Christmas everyone and saying for heaven's sake can't you leave a man in peace. the girl next door man she is a cutie, well she was about forty years ago she says she still looks after her appearance, but I say oh no no no no no no I still have my 6 pack, protected by a thick layer of fat the only exercise is running the bath I try to jog my memory about how to be good but Santa never comes in my house instead he's sitting upon my chimney pot, newspaper in his hand a cup of coffee resting by his feet he's humming to himself Merry Christmas everyone and saying for heaven's sake can't you leave a man in peace. he sits upon my chimney pot, newspaper in his hand a cup of coffee resting by his feet he's humming to himself Merry Christmas everyone and saying for heaven's sake can't you leave a man in peace. "'cos no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to comply" "...and the middle" "...for heaven's sake can't you leave a man in peace." "...but I say oh no no no no no no" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! "I still have my 6 pack, protected by a thick layer of fat" Nuggets. The "group sing" on the last chorus was really nice! That's a combo one doesn't run across every day!
Somebody mentioned skiffle, a genre I learned a
little about because of my love of the Beatles, and
yep I also think it's there.

Merry Christmas Alyn! A very fun song that I really enjoyed (especially the cute video). I'm glad that Christmas songs are starting to come out and you started us off with a lot of humor...thanks for getting us in the mood. Good write, production and I would say that we all have our own definition of "Peace"...thanks for sharing yours.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
