OK, I'll start. Import and export Music XML is a huge one for me, and addresses a long-time Wishlist item. I can export a BIAB song to a dedicated music notation program and not have to re-enter the chords like I have to with MIDI.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Just started "playing around" with 2016 and I really dig the new features in the Style Picker window. HUGE improvement to previous versions.

these comments pertain to RB:
1) I like the new BAR SETTINGS button on RBs chord screen!
2) I like the fact that when recording, you now see real-time indications that data is being captured... AND its color coded so you can see if you're clipping!
3) I like the CAPO transpose option for the chord window
4) it will probably take me a while to warm up to the new style picker, but my initial response is favorable!
5) I REALLY like the intelligent style suggestion feature, where you type the name of a song and it suggests a good style for it! It also helps you zero in on real tracks that would work...
more later as I try stuff...

I love the new "Layers"... These are just great at adding text to the chord sheet.... bar based lyrics, notes, etc..... fantastic addition!  Here's what they look like (I've modified the colours to suit me)

Another long time wish list item is we get to SEE what we're typing directly in the cell on the chord grid. That little box above is gone.

Hi John, I had a play around with it and, from what I can tell, this text does not print. It seems to be more for visual use. It's still early days with 2016, though. Regards, Noel

regarding the cool new way to add lyrics to the chord sheet:
A long requested feature has been the ability to paste a whole song's worth of lyrics at once. That's my preferred way of adding lyrics, and I've been waiting for it. (Thanks PG people!)
But the point I want to make is this:
Instead of rushing to add the feature, they thought about it (for as long as it took) and came up with an approach that is:
1) REALLY useful,
2) isn't just a lame spinoff of some other music program's way of entering lyrics
3) incorporates other new capability into the chord sheet
The end result is a completely unique solution that works perfectly in the paradigm of a chord sheet! Now THAT is what I like to see in software development!

Inside Band-in-a-Box 2016, you can make a video of the chord sheet, which does include the chords sheet with lyrics. That's a video of course, and currently we don't have a print chordsheet function (there are notation print functions of course). We do plan on adding print chord sheet as a free patch in early 2016..

Once captured, the SnagIt editor lets you easily annotate the image with arrows, text boxes, and other video editing tools and effects. Snagit is the best $49 I've ever spent on graphics capture & editing.
