Your post is confusing, at least to me. Why a poll and what does it mean?
4 count starts are the norm (unless you are in 3/4), unless you turn them OFF. You are in the PTPA area so you should know you can have as many bars rest at the end before the loop starts again. Just save your tracks with x bars space (if necessary mute all instruments for this length)
