Getting this installation error for the 2016 upgrades, but only off and on. The first time I got it was on the third Realtracks upgrade, but then I installed your 2016 patch and that file installed. However the next file, Realtracks Shots wouldn't go.
For some reason you've got a special character in the location fields between the "E:" and "bb" that is not the backslash. I suspect if you had replaced it with a backslash (made it E:\bb) it would have worked properly.

Thanks. I could see how that could easily be misinterpreted from one language to another. I use Japanese Windows OS's because I read Japanese and the Yen mark is the equivalent to a backslash in the Japanese OS. The actual problem was that Windows 10 sometimes can't keep up with new files being executed. They worked on the second or third try and then for some reason, the problem disappeared. I'm sure there's a setting in Windows 10 to remedy that, but I just haven't had time to get to it. Sorry for the false alarm!
Don't feel bad. I've had that happen to me, using the English Win 10 OS. Took several tries and I did not do anything special to my system. All of the sudden, it worked.
Some oddities, call it "Gremlins" in the system?
Glad you got it sorted out
Cheers, Mike

Uh-oh. Same problem on the mancave computer, but this time it appeared with the installation of the first set of Realdrums and all of the remaining .exe files get the same error and won't install.
One other weird thing, but a solveable issue: My main computer identifies all of the BIAB files as "risky" because it says they don't contain a producer i.d.
I wonder if there is some workaround for the first issue?
If they are being flagged as risky, then that might be you anti-virus interfering with the installation. Assuming you trust the PGMusic files you downloaded, then you might want to exclude both the installing folder and the target BIAB/RealBand folders from your anti-virus scanning. That will also help the apps launch more quickly once you get everything installed.

They are flagged as risky on the computer that I finally got them installed on. However, not on the one on which installation has come to a standstill.
I'm assuming that if worst comes to worst, I can just copy the entire BB drive from the computer that was able to install? That's basically what we can do with the hard drive version of BIAB, isn't it? It seems easier, at least on the surface, with so many exe files to install and now errors.
Is it safe/ acceptable just to copy a post-install BB folder to another computer? Anything else I need to copy. All of the basic BIAB programs installed, it's just the Realdrums and Realtracks that won't install.
Installed the BIAB 2016 upgrade .exe, then because most of the other files would not install on the second computer, copied and pasted (overwrote) the BB and RealBand folders, then did rebuilds of Styles, RealTracks and RealDrums folders. Works like a charm and uses less than half the time of a file-by-file installation.
--and copy-paste time is most waiting time. Very little activity required on the part of the installer.
