Running Windows 10 - When I go to the notation window the lower portion of screen with staves is black. How do I fix this?

Hi jw, Try right-clicking on the Chordsheet and then selecting "Display Options" (#1 below).  Then click on "Defaults" at the bottom of the Display Options window.  Regards, Noel

That changes chord display, but had no effect of the black display in notation window.

Hi jw, Returning to factory default settings is the next thing that I'd try. It's under the "Opt." menu (now called "Options" menu in 2016).  Select the upper option because that will keep all your sound setup intact. Also, have you tried fully turning the computer off and booting up again? This often solves a number of problems since it fully clears all memories and buffers. Regards, Noel

I had tried (and tried again) the options restore factory default settings to no avail, and rebooting had no impact. The notation screen is dark black, and when a song is played, the notes show up in red as they're played.

Have you checked that your computer's video driver is the Windows 10 version?

I've submitted a support ticket. Noticed the Lead Sheet display window exhibits same behavior.

Fixed it! Found the following from a 2005 forum post Let's try to Return to Factory Settings from outside the program. *With BiaB completely closed down, navigate to your bb folder and locate the file named, "intrface.bbw" and move it out of the folder. Okay to drop it onto the desktop or into any conventient folder you want other than the folder where BiaB lives. Now start up Band in a Box, it will rebuild that file and perhaps correct whatever got corrupted to give you the black screen. @ http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=268506&site_id=1That did the trick. Don't know how I got there - BIAB 2015 had been working fine in same configuration.
