i know, I know, you think you've improved things. Gotta admit the new stlepicker has a nicer gui BUT the old one worked! I can't find anything now! How do I access the old styles list?
just looked at manual and the first choice under the syle button is stle picker{browse all styles) That is gone on 2016. That is what I'm looking for

Hi Earl, As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to return the display to the old style picker. If you want to see "All Styles" - which is also the setting I used 99% of the time, enter into Stylepicker, click on the "Type" button and make sure it's set to either of the two options at the top. Actually, if you press "F5" at any bar, then click the "STY" button, you can see the old stylepicker. But dont count in its being there for long. I suspect that set of commands was overlooked. The programmers will be taking it away soon.
I too was a bit dismayed by the new picker. I had the old one memorized, and there were a few workarounds that had become habits. But I am starting to see the value of the new one. The ways of sorting and filtering are more sensible, less quirky, and similar to what happens in other programs. The abilty to sort by best fit, rather than alphabet, takes some getting used to, but now I am starting to see real benefits there. The song title search database is huge, and in most of my experiments delivers what I need faster than the old protocols could do.

At this point using F5 and the STY button is a useless endeavor if you have upgraded since it will only show up to RealTracks package 227. All of the new RT's (228 to 253) do not show up since the file BBW.lst was not changed to reflect the new RT's available in 2016.

Guess I'll have to call support. My style picker doesn't work correctly. I do a search for all country and get jazz. Or go for bluegrass and get Latins. Newer not necessary better. Especially if it doesn't work.

Hi Earl, You could watch the 2016 video starting at 13m45seconds. It shows use of the stylepicker. To show only bluegrass, press Category, and bluegrass. http://youtu.be/_stP7ZRvByMNote that a style can be listed under multiple categories, so a jazz style could show up under bluegrass or funk if it had those elements in it. If you are still having problems, or or not seeing some newer styles from PG Music press the fast rebuild button at the bottom.

All of the new RT's (228 to 253) do not show up since the file BBW.lst was not changed to reflect the new RT's available in 2016. ... and besides that, the max limit is still there, but not in the new style picker seemingly: that can also load all the styles i made and collected over the years since Atari days, in my case some 6500 ... Must do some house cleaning by now LOL. -F

The new stylepicker has a huge limit, 15,000 styles, and can expand easily if someone has more than 15,000 separate styles.
