I don't think windows always knows if they're missing. Usually a vendor includes them in their download or makes it so that the software fetches them at install-time. Could that perhaps be an issue?

Unfortunately I'm not sure how to test for such an issue, but when talking with support maybe you could ask them if they switched compilers for BIAB2016 and if it therefore needs new windows-dependencies.


That is possible, Andrew from PG music got in via remote control tonight and ran several tests on it. I think he has some ideas about what the problem could be. I should find out tomorrow or later in the week.
