Evening All,
I've just upgraded BIAB from 2015 to 2016 (build 427) and purchased jbridge to enable usage of the Amplitube VST, but still getting a message saying that I need to install jbridge to access 64bit VSTs.
Installed on a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10
Checked jbridge web site support area but no mention of this issue there, or in this forum that I could find.
Any ideas?

Make sure you have the correct version of JBridge, this is important. I think I used 1.74
Also make sure you don't select a VST3 version of the plugin (if available). Are there other dll files in the folder to choose from?
Can you define the error message better? That often helps pinpoint the problem.
I didn't think JBridge was needed with Amplitube to begin with though ..

First make sure you have the current version 1.74 of JBridge https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/updates/If it's AmpliTube 4, which is 64 bit only app, then yes you need JBridge but you do not need JBridge for AmplTube 3 which is a 32 only bit app. Don't get me wrong you will want JBridge if you have ANY 64 bit plugins that you want to use with BIAB or RB. I've found that JBridge works just fine with all my 64 bit plugins (AmpliTube 4, SampleTank 3, Kontatk (the 64 bit VST; Kontatk comes in both "flavors" and I have both 64 and 32 bit versions installed), UVI Workstation, Addictive Drums 2, and a bunch more As FYI AmpliTube 4 installs TWO VST 3 items: The first, and the one you want to point to from within BIAB or RB, is "Amplitube 4.dll" (usually in a default directory like "C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\..." I customize where I place all VST files, both VST 2 and VST 3 so I forget where the default IK VST 3 .dll path is. The second type file, and one YOU DO NOT WANT, is a VST3 file called "AmpliTube 4.vst3" in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\.." folder - it shouldn't work anyway and it will give a different kind of error indicating it is NOT a valid VST plugin and then crash JBridge auxhost as well as BIAB. good luck Larry

Further experimentation reveals jbridge works with other vsts. It's the amplitube 3 that appears to be the issue.
Oops.
2 messages;
first, "Can't load C:\.....AmpliTube3.vpa
then, "Amplitube3.dll is not a valid VST plugin!
Perhaps I'm loading the wrong file.

did you get Amplitube 3 working?
some random thoughts
AmpliTube 3 is NOT a 64 bit app so JBridge is not needed and should have never come into play(?)!
I can't remember AT3 since I now have AT 4 (which is 64 bits and only VST not DX) but if you installed the free Amplitube 3 supplied by PG - doesn't install BOTH a a DX and a VST?
this could be issue with you pointing to wrong file (the DX.dll NOT the VST .dll ) never try to force or manually load a DX or DXi file - always let BIAB or RB do it from the plugin pull down: DX's and DXi' are listed before nay VST's or VSTi's you may have loaded previously.
In any case, if still having issues try re-installing Amplitube 3 and pay attention to where you tell it to install the VST. The install location for the DX, if any, will not be shown, it's a "fixed" location don't worry about.
After re-installing have BIAB/RB rebuild (re scan) for new DX's from the plugin pull down.

Hadn't done the registration/authorisation thing with IKMultimedia.
Duh.
