Jimi, you will also discover that, while not as fast or as intensive, the PG forums are a better resource than you may realize. People here are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. Depending on when you post a question, responses may be nearly immediate, and come from multiple users.

Team Viewer is a tremendous tool. I have used it to do remote OS adjustments and tutoring in other areas of expertise. I wasn't aware it worked on Macs.
